Acupuncture

Acupuncture treatment (also called Meridian Therapy) concerns the electrical energy patterns of the body. These natural energies, inherent in all living things, are responsible for the body’s ability to heal itself. A diversity of health conditions can be successfully treated with this comprehensive system of medicine.

Acupuncture has been practiced in the Orient for more than 4,000 years. Over the centuries this healing art has helped millions of people around the world. The ancient Chinese determined that this life force (also called (Qi) could be manipulated by placing needles along energy pathways (meridians) throughout the body. Imbalances along these pathways directly effect the quality and mobility of the life force (Qi) and eventually will manifest as disease.

Treatment with acupuncture is safe, sterile and natural. Performed by a skilled practitioner, most people feel little or no discomfort during this procedure. Extremely fine needles are inserted just below the skin’s surface to elicit the desired response. Results are typically felt immediately or within the first few treatments. The duration and severity of the condition, as well as the individual’s constitution, will determine the necessity of ongoing therapy and the number of treatments. Chronic conditions may respond slower than new or acute health problems.
